Hollywood Big-Wigs vs Internet Pirates and Tribler
A new file sharing client called Tribler might be proposed legislations ACTA, SOPA and PIPA‘s worst nightmare. According to the creators from a technical University in Holland it’s impossible to stop, unless you shut down the entire Internet.
How does it work then? The Tribler client does not require a torrent site to find and download material. Instead you can search inside the program directly what the other users are sharing. The result is no specific website that can be blocked to stop people from sharing.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the big wigs in Hollywood react to this and if they can find a solution. Maybe it is time for them to stop wasting time and money on hunting down the unstoppable force of Internet Pirates and instead come up with that alternative Internet distribution platform they have been putting off for so long?
