Review: There has been a lot of talk about a sequel to this adventurous masterpiece. Nowadays the original cast is pretty much too old to be part of it, but I think that doesn’t stop a sequel!

You cast Justin Bieber as Mikey, round up all the fat kids of America and all the billions of children China produce each month and pick the two best ones of those groups.

And.. what the heck, bring back Corey Feldman (he hasn’t aged, right?) to reprise his role as Mouth and you’re set for a magnificent sequel.

Note to self, story idea: Mikey gets killed in the first scene. The only thing found on his body is a treasure map and some candy. While Chunk eats the candy, the rest of the Goonies must follow the treasure map and find out who killed Mikey. All clues points to The Fratellis. Hmmm, plot surprise twist; could Sloth in fact be the killer..?

Nerdiest Movie Trivia: According to Sean Astin, he was allowed to keep the treasure map used in the film. Several years later his mother discovered it, thought it was just a crinkled piece of paper, and threw it in the trash.
