Janne the Director’s Favorite Rare Movies Top 100 List #78: Culloden (1964)

April 1, 2011

janne-the director with the incredible-hulk t-shirtfake documentary from 196478. Culloden (1964)

This is a fake TV-documentary about the battle of Culloden that took place on 16 April 1746 (I didn’t KNOW that date, I googled it…).

That would be about 150 years before the film camera was invented*, so no wonder that so many of the soldiers look into the camera.

I should add that this movie takes itself very seriously so don’t expect a The Office version of a war film… But it is absurd in its stiff upper lip British ways.

the animated comedy series and blog lunki and sika

*(I might be wrong about that, since I can only bother to google something once per week.)

PREVIOUS ON THE LIST: #79: Matango (1963)
