Lost After Lost

Sika from the animated comedy blog Lunki and Sika in a tan and a Sika t-shirtMy friend All-In Pete woke me up early this morning. He called to say he wanted to meet, drink coffee and talk. He sounded serious.

When we half an hour later met at a coffee house I had prepared for the worst; girlfriend trouble/death in the family/financial trouble/weight concerns. I covered all the bases by bringing the complete printed works of Dr. Phil.

It turned out his reason for needing to speak with me was much worse than I could have expected. He wanted to discuss the ending of LOST, which he as the last person on earth just seen the previous evening.

Just talking about it made me relieve the agony and emptiness the end of Lost created inside me the 24th of March, 2010. It all came back to me, the unanswered questions, the masterful tear-jerking last moment, the fact that no other show has been able to fill the void since then.

I know what you’re thinking. But what about Fringe, The Event and FlashForward? Haven’t those weird, can’t-understand-what-is-happening-right-now-but-I-watch-them-anyway kind of shows helped ease my pain at all? No, they haven’t. If anything they have strengthened it.

Right after our meeting I decided to go on a strict Six Feet Under diet over the weekend, in hope of easing the pain. I hope it works but I am skeptical though. And if it doesn’t, what show do YOU think would help me end my LOST suffering?
