Jared Leto, You Thieving Bastard

October 6, 2010

Sika from the animated comedy blog Lunki and Sika in a tan and a Sika t-shirtHere’s a movie tip for the upcoming weekend. I watched Mr. Nobody (Extended Version) and thought it was great.

I have a problem with Jared Leto though. No, it’s not the fact he’s posing as an emo twilight kid in all of his music videos; I think it started when he gained weight for the role as Lennon-killer Mark David Chapman in Chapter 27.

And apparently he likes playing parts with make-up, in Mr. Nobody he plays twelve versions of Mr. Nobody, even the 118 year old one. Seems like he’s the kind of actor who doesn’t only steal work from the naturally fat actors, but from the elderly ones as well.

And not to mention the audition room full of real drug addicts back in 2000 he saddened when he got the part in Requiem for a Dream. Oh, and didn’t he play a russian in Lord of War?

Anyways. Regardless of the thieving Jared Leto, Mr. Nobody was a great movie. Weird and surreal; but really worth watching.
