Johnny-Wan Kenobi

February 1, 2010

It seems Johnny the Intern is blaming himself for the death of our coffee maker. Sure, he has mistreated the coffee maker by making awful, awful cups of coffee since he started here six months ago, but I keep telling him the coffee maker was old and it was its time to go.

I don’t think he listened. Instead he tried a bunch of stuff to revive it. He tried repairing it with a screwdriver, rapidly flicking the on/off button, checking the electrical chord, well a bunch of stuff that all failed. It was truly a spectacle seeing him try to repair this 10 year old coffee maker, which ended with him dressing up like Obi-Wan Kenobi. Yeah you guessed it, in an effort to use the Force. Once again, he was unsuccessful.

Now he’s on the couch reading “Electrical Wiring – For Dummies”. And that scares me. We need to get ourselves a new coffee maker real soon.

Tell johnny, and seriously just lay down the guilt trip on him, that until the coffee maker is replaced he is the coffee maker.

    Coffee, Tradition style.

Hahaha, yeah I’ll tell him that. That’s surely going to be the quote of the day here at the office; “Johnny the Intern, you are the coffee maker”.
