Teenage Mutant Ninja Madness
Michael Bay announced a couple of days ago that he is rebooting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie franchise. A statement that enraged the fans of sewer dweller heroes Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael. At first I thought “of course they should be, Michael Bay is a terrible director.” But I soon found out they had another reason for being outraged.
Michael Bay also announced that he’s rewriting the Turtles origin, making them creatures from outer space.
Okay, so that would make them Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles, changing the famous acronym from TMNT to TANT. As a Swede I find that amusing, since TANT in Swedish means “old lady”..
But anyway, the fans vented their fury on Twitter and Facebook and even former Michelangelo voice actor Robbie Rist accused the Transformers director of “sodomising” the Turtles.
Today Michael Bay responded to the outrage and released an official statement:
“Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script.”
I don’t understand that statement. That is only going to enrage the fans even more. If you’ve ever seen a Michael Bay movie, you know the script is going to be horrible. So why even use that as an example when you are trying to get people to “chill”? That’s insane. But perhaps that’s that “March Madness” I have been hearing so much about?
It wouldn’t surprise me to see the madness continue with Donald Trump getting involved and demanding to see proof of the Turtles origin. I predict this whole “Michael Bay vs TMNT fans” dispute will end when Donald Trump presents evidence that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles not only ARE aliens, but illegal ones as well.
I’m not sure when this photo was taken, but I think it was back when the Turtles still were pre-teens and Raphael hadn’t developed fully yet..

WHAT?!?! This is absolutely NOT ok! I loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid.And what is Splinter going to be in this version? I dont think there are rats in outer space?
