My Favorite Movie Quote: Lt. Hookstratten: May I start by saying how thrilled we are to have you here. We are such fans of your music and all of your records. I’m not speaking of yours personally, but the whole genre of the rock and roll.
Review: This is my favorite comedy of all time. Picking out just one favorite quote was I think the hardest thing anyone has ever done since Rob Reiner auditioned to be a Spinal Tap band member and was asked to put on spandex trousers.
This movie is 82 minutes of sheer comedy bliss.
But if you like me want more, the bluray edition offers a truckload of great extras; like the sequel The Return of Spinal Tap plus one hour of outtakes and a brand new documentary with Spinal Tap fans like Ricky Gervais and Rob Brydon.
But if THAT still isn’t enough, there is another bluray edition out there…
If you’re reading this mom, This is Spinal Tap – Limited Marshall Amp Edition [Blu-ray] is the one I want for Christmas. It’s way more expensive but hey, can you put a price on Spinal Tap? Well, yeah, I guess you can. It’s £51.47 (at the moment)… But what is that when the box has everything you need; the packaging is a Limited edition customised Marshall mono Amp (going up to 11) that can also be used as an iPod speaker, it has all the extras AND the soundtrack is included!

This Christmas some people hope for world hunger to end, or the cure for all illnesses. I do too, plus that limited Spinal Tap boxed set. Oh, and a Nintendo Wii with Zelda.
Nerdiest Movie Trivia: It is revealed that “37 different people have been in the band over the years”. Minus the two original members, one keyboard player, and the original and current bass players, this implies that the band has had 32 different drummers who inexplicably died.
PREVIOUS ON THE LIST: 4. Back to the Future (1985)
