My Thoughts on the American Idol Season 10 Finale 2011

If it’s not the Oscars it’s the American Idol.

Just like The King’s Bla Bla stole the Academy Award from the amazing The Social Network, the American Idol trophy was not awarded to my pick, Lauren Alaina, but instead went to the music equivalent of Colin Firth, country boy Scott McCreery.

Despite my disappointment, I thought it was great to see the 2011 American Idol finale summon some of the hottest stars right now; Beoyonce, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett and Tom Jones.

Wait what? Tony Bennett and Tom Jones? Hey, did someone in the control room mess with the flux capacitor?

Anyway, the award for funniest moment of the night goes to Jack Black in his failed attempt to get a hug from Scott McCreery during his post-win performance.
