Just like Avatar

December 30, 2009

Me and Janne the Director went to see Avatar 3D today. We just had to see it because Johnny the Intern had seen it and he said, and I quote:

You have to see it. It’s awesome! It’s like Lunki and Sika, the only difference is they are green and it’s 3D!”

After seeing it I can agree that it was awesome. It was my first 3D experience and I couldn’t have chosen a better movie to loose my 3Dginity too. But saying that it’s just like our show Lunki and Sika might be taking it a bit too far. Sure, just like them we are living on a far away planet (the north of Sweden) surrounded by forest. And some trees are quite large here too. But there are some key differences.

1. They fly. Riding graciously through the air on some dragon-like creatures. We do not fly. On anything.

2. They ride. Neither me or Lunki ride. Yes, there was that time when I got drunk and tried to ride Adam the Elk. Not such a good idea.

3. James Cameron has had an estimated budget of $230,000,000 when making Avatar. We have not.

But other than that, sure. You could say that Avatar is just like Lunki and Sika. Or you could say that Johnny the Intern doesn’t know what he’s talking about. because he is a moron.

Go see Avatar and decide for yourselves.

Well – i agree in most of the things written above. BUT. BUUUT. BUTTTTT. I dont have 3d glasses. I will never own a pair of 3d glasses. I will probably never ever ever afford to see a movie at all? What will i do?

Here’s a couple of techniques/tips that can help you:

      1. If you can’t afford a ticket, be kind to a rich person and maybe he or she will buy you a ticket.

      2. Sadly, you do need 3D-glasses to receive the full effect of the 3D-experience.. But luckily you get a pair for free with the ticket prize!

So to sum up. Get a rich friend.

Hahaha…I lose my 3Dginity to Avatar too and love the experience!

It’s already 31st Dec here where I am. I wishing you and your team a Happy and Rewarding 2010!

No, it’s not a bad movie to loose it to. I was tempted to loose it to a bunch of horror films like Halloween 3D, My Bloody Valentine and Final Destination, but I was strong and kept my focus on loosing it to a great movie. I guess the animated adventure Up would have been my second choice.

It’s great hearing from you again Heyzanie! I think I speak for all of the bearded boys here at office when I wish you a fantastic New Year and hope all of your wishes come true!

P.S Well, I guess Johnny the Intern technically doesn’t have a beard, but in the sense of “bearded boys” I do think that sideburns count.. D.S

Wow, Sika, I can tell you’ve certainly invested your heart and soul in waiting for the ‘right one’ the come along! ;)

I’m really honoured to have the blessings of all you talented bearded boys! Yes, count in those with sideburns too, the more the merrier! ;D

I too am a moron! My wife tells me this. Whenever I am in bed and shivering and I tell her I am cold she says, “Get under the covers, you moron.” So I feel that Johnny and I are kindred spirits. I hope you treat him well. Tell him if he ever comes to New Zealand he is welcome to stay in our home. You guys too! But you’ll have to get your own woman to tell you to get under the covers. I’m not THAT hospitable!
