The Virus is spreading – Zombies from other parts of the World
While researching Zombie-movies on the Internet, something that I find interesting is that since the first American Zombie-picture, White Zombie, back in 1932, the Zombie phenomenon has spread over the world, towards different languages, continents, and countries.
One example is that Scorched Heat, supposedly is the only Swedish movie with Zombies. A movie from 1987, which got totally axed by pretty much everyone. Mostly known because of Swedish TV host Harald Treutiger’s role as Steve.
Another example is that Pakistan’s first Zombie movie, Zibahkhana, emerged as late as 2007, a more popular example than the previous one, directed by Omar Khan, about “five teenagers that leave their suburb neighborhood of Islamabad and travel into the wild only to have their van break down and they get set upon by not only flesh eating zombies, but a ghoulish hitchhiker, and a blood-soaked, burqa-wearing killer”.
Sounds totally watchable to a Zombie lover. And perhaps perfect as an inspiration for me and Lunki on “How to walk like a Zombie”, but I guess you could see any Zombie-movie to learn how to do that. Not a lot of progress has been made in the body movement of Zombies since at least Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead”.
